Liz Barry is Director of Community Development at the Public Laboratory for Open Technology and Science, a global community collaborating to pursue local environmental health and justice outcomes. Her work bridges place-based grassroots organizing and online commons-based peer production. She previously served as a Fellow at the Design Trust for Public Space on Five Borough Farm Phases II & III, was named a Sunlight Foundation OpenGov Champion, and co-founded TreeKIT, a project which the City of New York scaled to thousands of people mapping and identifying over half a million street trees in 2015/6’s “TreesCount!”
