Ellen Kohl

Ellen Kohl is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. As a researcher and teacher, she is broadly interested in how multiple, intersecting forms of oppression impact human-environment interactions. Her research examines how urban and environmental policies contributes to places of persistent environmental injustice and the social movement strategies activist use to contest these injustice. She is contributing to EDGI’s work interviewing current and former EPA employees.
